IJL First Aid North West

Ian Lynch - Owner / Instructor

I have worked in the chemical industry for over 30 years and more recently as a sports and holistic massage therapist and tutor.  With a HNC in Chemical Engineering and NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, I have always had a keen interest in matters of health and safety throughout my working life.

Qualified in First Aid for most of my career and spending long spells in the role of workplace health and safety representative, I have gained many years of experience and insight into the health and safety mindset.

Having gained my adult teaching qualification to teach initially within the Sports Massage industry, I realised I wanted to offer more in this vocation.  So, I recently decided to set up IJL First Aid NW to pass on my passion and experience to others, in the hope that one day it may help someone else to save a life.

I completed my First Aid Instructor training with ProTrainings UK and have since registered as a training centre for them.  As such we can offer lots of course options and can tailor course delivery to suit your needs.

Brian Huxley - Instructor

I began my career as a Sports Therapist over 28 years ago. I also trained in the clinical application of Hypnotherapy in 1999, further developing my ability to enhance a person’s healing and motivational strategies, specialising in the use of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).

In 2002 I updated my Sports Therapy skills to an Advanced Clinical Level 5.

Having many successful years at my Sports Injury Clinic and Hypnotherapy Room in Yorkshire, I also work as a freelance teacher at various private training providers and colleges within the UK. I have worked with many celebrity athletes, dancers and sports teams over the years.

I am also an “OldPain2Go” practitioner. Throughout my career, I have always understood and appreciated the importance of First-Aid knowledge and its application within every area of our lives.  For this reason, I trained as a First Aid Instructor so that I can teach others these life-saving skills."
